welcome mr. danny glover

yesss he is coming to "talk" at our school tomorrow! it's very exciting even though i'm sure my kids will probably ask the following questions:

1. can i get your autograph? (which he would answer, no, this is not meet-the-fans session, this is an educational session on the political situations in blablabla- which my kids will respond with, f*ck you you f*ckin ass what the f*ck i can't get a f*ckin autograph?)

2. are you rich?

3. can you give me some money?

4. who are you again?

sooo looking forward to it!

i hate humidity

okay today was a bit ridic. it was sooo hot and humid in my class, no a/c, not even a breeze and i was dying. i think all of us were.

so picture this, the kids had gym class at 9:30 when the weather was getting to what felt like 100% humidity. they were all sweaty and they all sprayed at least half a bottle of axe on themselves (which i guess is a good thing that they realized they have body odor?). mixed that up with stale air in the classroom. plus the smell of omelette, sausage and hashbrowns for lunch (yep it was a "breakfast-for-lunch" day). and you have a horrifying, smelly, full of B.O day groossssss!

i don't care if we don't have enough books or pencils in the classroom. i rather have all the school funding goes toward buying an a/c for the classroom!

and it's may...

yup the year is almost over... being on the academic sept-aug mode every year, i consider june as the end of a year, july and august as two lazy months that i take for granted, and sept as a new year. so the year IS almost over and looking back i can't believe a lot of shit happened in one year.

let's start the list:

right before the year began i had my second knee surgery and spent my summer in a big-ass knee support thingy. lovely lovely.

this year i began my lovely career as a teacher, and spent ridiculous amount of money on my class. this will be repeated again come late august (hey i want my class to look as pretty and as bedazzling as a midsummer's night!)

got engaged and hell began.

went back to lovely jakarta in december for 13 short days. (notice i've been using the word lovely a lot here... not sure why)

lost my grandpa, which was not a lovely thing at all, and it happened so quickly that sometimes i still can't believe it.

moved to a new, larger, cheaper apartment in an area some would considered the suburbs by the name of queens. i actually looove this apartment because it's larger and cheaper (much larger and much cheaper i might add)

got married (by the way, a bit of family news: my cousin gave birth to twin boys, my other cousin (and a much younger one) gave birth to a boy and already pregnant again, my yet other cousin is pregnant with a second child... obviously my family doesn't do planned parenthood thing)

i guess getting married is a hugeee thing but it's okay... it's exciting but glad it's over. the planning phase killed me.

had a sinus surgery oh my gosh it was horrible. the doc took out the huge packing the day after and it hurt like hell. yesterday (a week after), the doctor took the splints out- they were up high and the doctor pulled the string and i could feel the HUGE thing came out, my head felt like it was split open, and then he did the same to the other side. i cried of pain throughout the whole process. never. again.

annndd of course dealing with my kids all year. hospitalizations. cops. stretchers. handcuffs. courts. probations. and now a weed grower.

sigh. i guess i won't be taking those lovely two months for granted anymore. see ya at the pool bitchess
